Kawana Waters State College primary and secondary libraries are actively involved in accelerating student literacy.
Primary Campus Library
Our Primary library boasts an array of the latest junior titles alongside a well-loved collection of student favourites. Junior classes visit the library every week, highlighting for them value of reading and the importance of routinely focusing on literacy skills.
Secondary Campus Library
Our Secondary Library is modern, open plan and a hive of learning activity. The secondary study area offers student private study pods, these provide a haven for at school study sessions. At Kawana our students drive the books that are on the shelves as they, once a term, #stockthelibrary. The secondary library is instrumental in promoting and running literacy programs for students on local, national and global levels.
The Library is managed by teacher librarian Mrs Roanne Baxter.
It is open Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 2.50pm.
ICT Centre
Within the Secondary Library is the ICT centre which provides ICT support to all students before school and during lunch breaks.
