KWSC select teams to compete in the Coastal District Interschool sports competition. For Year 9, students compete in Terms 1 and 3 at two 'competition days' in the sports of Volleyball, Oz Tag, Fast Five Football and Ultimate Disc. Students and Years 7 and 8 compete in Terms 2 and 4 in a weekly Wednesday competition in the sports of AFL, Football, Rugby League, Volleyball, Netball and Touch Football.
