International student events

Welcome to our International Students.
On the 23 January, 2017, 38 new International students started their Kawana experience bringing the total number of International Students to 53 on the secondary campus and 5 on the primary campus.
Surfing Lessons
One key component to living on the Sunshine Coast and attending Kawana Waters State College is the proximity to the beach and world class aquatic facilities. Newly arrived students at the College are taking advantage of the beautiful weather and calm sea conditions to learn how to surf. The first semester is generally a difficult time to get good surfing conditions for learners due to the summer monsoon weather patterns. All students are educated in the dangers associated with swimming in the ocean when they first arrive at the College.
As students commence and continue their studies, they have found that their stress in achieving academically has been relieved by the opportunity to access specialist academic support. This support is coordinated through the application of an English language test during their orientation, as well as careful consultation with classroom teachers. International Students at Kawana are expected to do their best in their studies. Most faculties offer after school tutoring for all students attending Kawana Waters State College.
Excursions allow International Students to experience different locations around Australia during their EQI program. These excursions are optional and are an additional cost.
Each term break EQI Holiday Adventure Programs offer a safe way for EQI students to travel and sightsee.
Kawana Waters State College also offers excursions for our International Students:
