Kawana Waters State College has a proud tradition of nearly 25 years in international education offering a world class education to students from all parts of the world.

International students have chosen Kawana Waters for many reasons.  In addition to the College's facilities, curriculum and experienced teaching staff, the College's proximity to a unique coastal environment provides opportunities not available anywhere else.

Our Senior School (matriculation) international student program began in 1997, when ten students enrolled in Year 11 from The Peoples Republic of China (PRC).  Each year we have approximately 40 international students.  We have had students from PRC, Papua New Guinea, Bolivia, Mexico, Japan, Germany and Italy to study for matriculation at Kawana Waters State College.  These students are academically successful and may go on to study at an Australian university.

Kawana Waters State College places great emphasis on caring for all students in the school.  International students have a home group teacher, a year level coordinator and guidance officer to look after their needs, as well as a specialist English as a second language teachers.

Each year international students have been elected to leadership positions within the school and a number have been awarded the top academic student of the senior year.
